Georgia Mills is a writer based in Toronto, Ontario. With a background in journalism, she currently works as a copywriter at a creative agency.
After graduating from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor in Journalism, I applied my degree to content marketing as a copywriter.
I’m a Scorpio, Substack essayist and freelance creative. I’ve worked with a variety of brands, telling thoughtful stories through digital marketing and content writing. I love storytelling as a girl online.
Copywriting
As the copywriter at Arnold Street Agency, I develop and maintain brand voice and tone, writing social, email, newsletter, blog and web copy for a variety of brands.
I also write the agency’s media and marketing blog, The Word On the Street. Inspired by The Cut’s on the pulse content, I write about pop culture and online trends through a digital marketing lens.
Freelance Work
I’ve written for a variety of publications, including Pilot Magazine, Cunt Mag, Style Circle and more.
Currently, I contribute to Gut Instinct Media, and I recently covered Toronto’s longest running fashion week for FASHION magazine.
My work will be published in print in both Prickly Pear magazine and Girl Dad Press later this year, and I will be featured in Seven Magazine’s upcoming issue.
As a freelance creative, I also have experience with social media management, building Trove Wellbeing’s social presence prior to the launch of their space.
I also freelance for FONZIE, a copywriting agency based in LA. I collaborate on writing and editing copy for beauty and lifestyle brands.
Creative Projects
I write creative nonfiction, poetry, pop culture and personal essays for my Substack, The Lit Witch.
This past summer, I co-published a “textbook” called Context. Context is a publication of text messages between myself and my close friend and co-author. Through our conversations, we explore themes of friendship and girlhood.
